My computer screwed up so I called Dell. All I can get is these people who I can't understand a word they say. This is driving me insane. I know it is cheaper for them to pay foriegn companies to handle thier calls but I'm sick of it. I want someone who speaks english as a first language to help me when I call customer service. MAybe they should have a language option when you sit through all the "press 1 for so and so" "and press 2 for this." If they throw in a "press 3 for english service I will be the happiest camper out there. God does anyone else feel this way?

While I agree that foreign tech support people can be hard to understand, in my experience, they're much more helpful than any American tech support person I've ever had. And everyone I've had has been very good about repeating themself and spelling things to make sure I understand. I'd rather deal with a slight language problem and get better service than have someone I understand clearly who has no idea what they're talking about.

Well I am glad your experiences have all been well, and you have a good point. But I don't know if it's worst to have an idiot who knows nothing or a smart person who can say nothing. I try not to be too hard on people who can't speak english well but in a situation where you are getting help for something technical I wish I could understand them better.

haha, i so agree. i hate calling help lines, or any type of customer service. you cant even understand them. its just annoying, you have to keep saying what? ugh. its like whats the point of calling, if you cant even get help. and i love the option for english service. great idea.
