better is a dry morsel with quietness, than a house full of feasting with strife..any opinion on this

it means that its better to have less food or less wealth than a rich man with no peace at home and the members of the family are always quarreling each other

its better to have simple foods serve on the table and the family sharing or eating is very close and peaceful, rather than plenty of it or abundance of it when family members are not united, and always arguing on somethings..
