Which is better an IPod or a MP3 Player

I'm thinking of getting my grandchildren a IPod or and MP3 player for Christmas.......Which one is the best for the money......I don't want to spend more than fifty dollars for them........Which one is the best???????

I really don't know much about either one..But from what I have heard the IPod is the best one to get. But both are not cheap. You might try checking them out on the Web sites like Frys.com or Radioshack.com...or even CompUS.com
