What do you think can be used in the next decade to substitute pertol and diesel as fuel?

have you heard of bio-diesel which is made from plants... the tests have been successful in india but only problem is that it is 1.5 times expensive... but thay are working on devising methods for cheaper extraction.

i have heard of itbut then do u know how much fuel is consumed everyday?? can we produce such a huge amount of bio diesel ???
