without doubt one of the best compendium of graphic novels to hit stands, i have the complete set of 10 novels with me, all of which boast of amazing artwork, great rendering, and superbly written stories.. these graphic novels trace the journey of dream of the endless (the ruler of the realm of dreams.. or rather, dream himself) as he escapes from captivity, moves back through his realm, regains his tools, confronts the devil, falls in love, avenges events, goes on quests, takes on the kindly ones, and departs... this beautiful work can be bought on amazon as well, from http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html?ie=UTF8&location=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2FPreludes-Nocturnes-Sandman-Vol-1%2Fdp%2F1563890119%2Fsr%3D8-2%2Fqid%3D1166312777%3Fie%3DUTF8%26s%3Dbooks&tag=papertreestud-20&linkCode=ur2&camp=1789&creative=9325 an absolute must-have.. you gotta go get it!!

I was able to read the entire collection as well as the spin-offs through the kindness of friends. I actually own just 2 books and several issues of The Dreaming. Sandman has a special place in my heart as it was the work that made rediscover the beauty of comics.

I have yet to read all of them, money limitations unfortunately. its really good so far though. have you read the fable series, or any of his other stuff? Smoke and Mirrors was a good book, as well as American Gods.

I've yet to read most of his stuff. Books my mate has given me fueled the fire, and now I'm broke, but eventually I'll be able to seek out a few more books by him, let my brain grow a lil. He is indeed an amazing author. He researches, and somehow gets all the facts right while making a good story out of it. Good stuff, good stuff...

My Sandman collection is one of my prized possessions. Seriously. I consider myself lucky to have experienced such profundity. Thank you, Neil Gaiman.

Absolutely. I want all of my friends to experience the wonder of this series, but I have a very hard time loaning my copies out, because I like having them within reach as often as possible.
