Non-communicative families

Almost every family is dysfunctional in one or another but non-communicative families drive me up the wall! Rather than saying what's on their heart and mind they prefer to make nasty comments and you have no idea what's the cause. They gossip creating unnecessary tensions instead of just getting it out, why!?

I think members within those sort of families actually enjoy the tension also, be it a way to gain attention or not.
