Even if the two of you is doing good, except that he wants to be alone again just like his bachelor's days? What would you do?

I would say that he needed to be reminded of his responsabilities. If one of my friends said he was leaving his wife to run around I would tell him off. He vowed to take care of his family and that is what he shoudl do.
