I don't think 10,000 characters would be sufficient to explain that..but crt uses a cathode tube to display the image..which makes it bulky..whereas plasma uses plasma to do the same..it's slim and compact....but for a buyer...a crt is much cheaper..plasmas are more expensive,but offer superior picture quality,screen size and sleekness which is absent in crts..
