Have you ever gotten a job without the employer checking your past work history?

I have just been employed by a company that didn't check my past work history. What has been your experience with this? Mine hasn't been good. I usually end up quitting, because the job doesn't work out. I also have an interview for a job that pays almost $3.00 more an hour.

I have only worked at one placelike that and I ended up not liking the job and quitting. The lack of organization when it cam eto hiring also over flowed into the daily grind at the work place. They had a hodgepodge crew working there with completely different working attitudes and every argued non-stop. I suggest that you take that job interview and if you get the job that pays more (and you think you will be happier at that company) take it! I would not quit the job you just started until you know that you definately have that other job though.

Yes, I worked at an optometrist office for several years and they often didn't check out references or past work histories.
