Golden Cauliflower Soup 1 small head cauliflower, cut into small florets (about 6 cups) 1 TB olive oil ½ a small onion, diced 1 large garlic clove, minced 1 ½ cups potato, peeled and chopped 1 cup carrots, peeled and diced 1 ¼ tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. white pepper, or more to taste 1 TB nutritional yeast flakes Place the cauliflower florets in a steamer basket and steam until tender. Meanwhile, heat the olive oil in a large saucepan over medium high heat. Add the onion and sauté, stirring frequently, until the onion is soft and translucent, about 5 minutes. Add the garlic and cook, stirring, for another minute. Add the potatoes, carrots, and 4 cups of water. Bring to a boil and lower the heat. Simmer, covered, until the potatoes and carrots are completely tender (the potatoes should be falling-apart tender so the blended soup does not become gluey). When the cauliflower is tender, measure out 2 cups of the florets and set aside. Add the rest of the cauliflower to the potato mixture. Remove from heat and transfer the soup to a blender, in batches if necessary, and purée until smooth. Pour soup into a clean saucepan and return to the stove on medium-low heat. Add the cauliflower florets, salt, white pepper, and nutritional yeast flakes. Cook, stirring, until warmed through.

mushroom soup - jn
Mushroom soup does someone real good, when there sick. Thats a must have... If your boyfriend is devastated and sad because he missed his major exams and cant go to his trip to England no amount of gifts can help mend his dissapointment. What CAN help is your support and care for him. He needs to know that all is yet, not lost and your still there for him to help him out. Sure the bears cute...cookies would be nice.... but I'd go for the books, buy motivational books like Campbell Soup books... Joke books are great too lighten up his heart too, how about Garfield's? I have a brother who has a really funny Garfield Joke book... and car magaines might help too... but I'm as lost as you in this subject... The most important thing is for you to be there for him, you know like a real girlfriend... he'll appreciate that, more than you know

Hello! My favourite kind of soup is tomato with rise (must be thick and only with rice!). My grandfather's recipe's the best.

I can't just list one favorite kind of soup because that would be way too limiting. I'll give you my top five favorite soups & why I like them so much. The first one is one I make myself and it's turned out pretty good every time I've put it together. I tend to use a slow cooker for my soups too. I find it brings out more flavor to cook the soup this way as opposed to just throwing it in a pot on the stove. The first soup I enjoy so very much is one I make myself. My other half is just gaga over it. He thinks it's one of the best soups he's ever had. It's basically a chicken noodle soup with a little bit of dill & green onion in the broth. I boil the chicken first & use the remaining water after I take out the chicken as the broth. I throw all my other ingredients into the slow cooker & I let it all simmer together. I serve it with just a few splashes of soya sauce in the broth too. I also love borscht. That's right, good old Ukrainian beet soup. The only thing I don't like about it is the colour of it. It has a tendency to stain anything it falls on. Especially when you serve it in a bowl. After your finished eating it the bowl is all purple. This is the only thing that kind of gets on my nerves about this soup. haha. Otherwise it's one of my other favorite soups. I haven't tried making it yet but my Grandma makes it & it is always so good. Pour a little fresh cream into the broth & it's to die for in my opinion. I also like cream of potato soup but I can only handle it once & a while because it is such a rich soup. I can't say it's as thick as glue but I love the flavor of it & the texture as well. I like cream based soups & this one has to be my absolute favorite one! I like chicken & rice soup too. There's something about having chicken soup with rice instead of noodles. I find it makes a difference in the flavor when the rice is put in place of those noodles. Any of these soups with the chicken or beef stock as a broth. In conclusion.. I know that I'd much prefer home made soup over store bought soup.. As I find when you make your own soup the flavors are so much more stronger then store bought brands. As well the amount of sodium, among other ingredients sometimes can be much more unhealthy compared to home made soup. At least this is what I have found. Thanks for allowing me to share! xx

I love homemade chicken soup. I have a weird recipe that I make in the pressure pot. I like adding a little bit of angel hair pasta to it to thicken it up when it's done cooking.
