I felt very happy that I was married, but lonely for my parents. I also thought about how lonely they must be too be feeling because I wouldn't be living at home any more. It took a while to get used to the loneliness as I came from a very large family.

Absolutely wonderful, but then it was a little different for us since we already had a daughter. We were already a family, being married just cemented the deal!

My husband and I were together for 4 years before we got married and we lived together for 3 1/2 of those years so I really didn't feel much different. Getting married was more for him because he wanted that paper and he also wanted to take my last name since he had no pride in his. He didn't have a great relationship with his father.

i think so western culture allows some pitfalls in marriage and relationships..in a country like india ,i m living in they give much importance to relationships after marriage
