i just want to share. just a few months ago, i've undergone a career crisis that has really left me battered and bruised. though i loved my job, i decided to leave and i'll be starting on a new job at the dawn of the new year. my new job will just pay me half as much as i am getting now but i'm still optimistic and excited about it. this is a new challenge that i'll be facing and i believe that i'll be happier if i go than if i stay. one thing that i've learned through my experience is this: money isn't everything.

We have the same experience. I really loved my job and of course the people around me, but I must leaved them. And do you know what? Since I quited, I've lived without payment for 4 months. I've worked alone. But, God's provided me and has given me more than I've expected. I don't know what will happen tomorrow, next month and next year, but I believe in God and not in money.

I cannot agree with your statement that money is not everything. The whole point of life is to suceed by moving forward. Taking a job that pays half as much as you were making before sounds like moving backward. If your happier you may move forward faster, but that, to me sounds like you are taking a big risk. Is this job moving you closer to your career?

Money is not everything, but sometimes money is very important while there is not enough in your bank account! That's the what I am met!! I think if I have enough money to supply my daylife,I won't work so hard to make money. Maybe I will do someting I am interested. But now I must work to make a living. I wish I finish my Phd dissertation as quickly as I can, then get a job in the new year! Wish you have a happy life in the new year!! The same wish to all the friends in Mylot!!

you have to work hard to have money, but enjoy also the rest of the good things of the life. Money must be your instrument to give you joy, not your obsession, do your best and stay happy
