is programming hard??

i am an I.T. graduate and i found programming hard. Likes its totally different for me. Although i understand some codes but you find it difficult if you program alone like you dont even know how to start or what to put on the middle of the program...like its a chaos...how about other programmers out there do you feel it hard to program?
