First baby: about 6 hours; it wasn't too uncomfortable unti the very end. Second baby: almost no time. I thought I was having braxton hicks (false) contractions the night before, but they weren't very painful. When I woke up in the morning I thought I might be in early labor, but couldn't really tell. I had a shower then called my mother who suggested I go to the hospital, because her second baby had come fast. My husband drove me to the hospital in 15 minutes, and the baby came out as soon as we arrived. I was very lucky, but it was pretty much effortless. In the pictures right after the birth, I have freshly washed hair, and don't look like I had exerted myself at all. Good luck with your labor.

I was induced at 10am and my son was born at 6:35pm. It really didn't seem as long as it was.

I heard from lot of ladies that their labor was over 12 hours long. I had c-section so didnt experienced the labor pain but had pain of the cut for over week.

I was in labor at the hospital for 5 and half hours with my daughter. That was natural labor. Now I am preggie with #2 and hopefully this one is even shorter.
