Short films ....Do they really lead u to commercial cinema...???

now a days its a trend goin on that every one is getting into a bussiness of making short films and sending it into film festivals ...its quite eassy and fits in budget but the thing is that does it really helps the person to get into the big stream of commercial cinema...???

You mean movie trailers? Of course, if the actors aren't too nice, seeing a good trailer gives a movie more chances of getting seen.

no i am not talking about movie trailers...im talking about short films ..these are films of a short duration like 5 mins, or 10mins and are made on a small budget and are basically being made to be shown in film festivals...
