If humans evolved from monkey's/apes, why are they still here?

it didn't just happen like one day there were a load of monkeys and the next they were human. How it works is that certain groups of apes started to change for some reason, probably yo help their survival by standing up, this lead to them seperating from the rest of the apes and then evolving sperately into humans. Some of the apes in the world obviously never needed to evolve in the same way because they were obviously doing fine so they stayed as they were. Also if you follow our evolution back long enough it is possible that pigs and humans evolved from the same animal but that would have been many millions of years ago so they would be very distant relatives while apes are our cousins

I don't know, but I've heard humans and pigs have a lot in common, why don't they think we evolved from pigs?
