What does it mean when your computer gets slow? I hope its not dying.

It can be a sign of age. It can also be spyware clogging up your system. Try to do some kind of scan and delete things you don't need on the computer and maybe that will help? Windows machines tend to get so much junk on them when you go online. My husband has a side business working on computers and he said that if copyright wasn't an issue he would have been tempted to call the business "Cleaning Windows" after the old Van Morrison song because he spends much of his computer time cleaning up messes on Microsoft Windows! Listening to that song in relation to these computer issues is a hoot. Good luck to you with your machine!!

this happened last week and deleated a lot of my old messages which I hadnt done in a while. It helped a great deal. Ya my computer is showing her age. Of course its a girl. Thanks for the advice

Yes definitly check for virus or any kind of spyware. Also is it slow on the internet or is it just slow opening files and such, then you might want to do a disk defrag
