War between America & Iraq

United States
December 18, 2006 10:49pm CST
I am an American & I wanted to see how everyone feels about this war. You don't just have to be from America or Iraq to post about this discussion either. As for my opinion I think George Bush should have never ran for President & that thing were a lot better when President Clinton was still in office, even if he was messing around with Monica. The worst relationship he messed with was his marriage, not an international one. Oh, and FYI I do rate discussions, so please give detailed responses & don't ask for me to rate you response, I already do that.

We do oppose the awr. I'm a mom to a 14 month old & a disabled 4 1/2 month old & have a third due in July. I have more important things to worry abot than "who is the president goimg to dislike today?". In fact I wish ALL the solides on both sides could just say "hey this isn't MY war, I'm going home"

I wish that the soldiers could do that, but when they enlist they have to take an oath that no matter who is the president that he is the commander in chief and they will obey his orders, and such, they can not even say anything about him that they dissagree with ect., i think its wrong, the president should be somewhat seperate from the military, and allow the higher military to authorize what the military does.

i am not an american but but sure i will vote for Bush. iraq would have become a kit bag for terrorists. its very difficult to control terrorism if they get economical aid from iraq.he has foreseen the danger and in my view he has taken a good step

The reason I don't agree with Bush is it seems he was shealters a bit too much & is lacking in the department of managing US troops straegies. This not a game of battleships where we play & everyone goes home at the end of the day. People are dying, in part I believe due to lack of leadership skills & know how. I believe we need a more experienced President this next go-around & get some order back.

i am with Iraq. Didnt u too feel that Bush is too punishale since he killed thousands of Iraqis including the brutual murders of childrens who were the future of iraq... Do you remeber the fake doll like bombs that the american flights and helicopters sawed in Iraqi residential ares so that the chldre will get attracted to it and they will took it to home and thus killingall by the bombs emition....? There are many more to say so... Then who in this entire world other than USA and the alliances says that Bush is the leader of the world. Each indevedual country have its own power. See USA may have nuclear weapon on say for eg 10000 AP. then a asian country may have it as 10. But a 1 AP is enough to wipe outthis earth. The power that USA mention is only Offensive power, not defensive.. Remeber what happened in 21st march 2001.. It was too horrible. But these type of terrorists attacks happeded in other countries too. At that time america was with tounge which as tied up.....

Do you remeber the fake doll like bombs that the american flights and helicopters sawed in Iraqi residential ares so that the chldre will get attracted to it and they will took it to home and thus killingall by the bombs emition....? That never happened. The doll bomb, if it is real which I doubt, would be from terrorists, not the US army. The army tries as hard as it can to keep innocents out of it. But the terrorist TRY to kill the innocent for publicity. If you can understand enough English anyways...

This war was uneventful. It reminds me of when they sent troops out to Vietnam, there will never be an outcome of peace. In fact, this shouldn't be our war because it does not involve the citizans of the USA, it involves those with there fingers in the oil industry. The only reason 911 happened is because the fact that the oil industry has their grip there. Pres. Bush is greedy and not helping those who really need care in the USA. I feel sickened about this war, we have lost a lot of good soliders who are doing their upmost to protect us - the people.

I am Indonesian, and depend on my opinion, President Bush should more carefully research before he decided to make war in Iraq with reason behind to get after International terorist syndicate. But i believe, most of us know that there is personal intention which being main reason why he making war in Iraq. America has war with Iraq from President Sr. Bush, right? and on that time President Sr. Bush couldnt defeated President Saddam Hussain so there is personal revenge in my opinion. And you can see, after Saddam rezim defeated, Iraqi still has war between their ethnic and their economic level not yet growth very well. Its better if President Bush not too much interfere with this matter, just let Iraqi determine their own country

I too am an American and I do not agree with you. The best part about us both being American is that we have the right to express our opinions --and freely. Personally, I think that George W. Bush is one of the best president's the USA has ever had. (I am also a huge fan of his father). From where I am standing, our country was in much worse shape during the Clinton administration. With Bush, we are defending freedom...the very thing our country is built on. I don't like to see my friends go off to Afghanistan and Iraq, but I will support their efforts 100%. They are the true heroes of the world. They are fighting so that we are able to keep our freedom. Let's agree to disagree, and be thankful that we are able to do that.

We certainly could have had a more knowledgeable leader. Plus, DEFENDING FREEDOM?!?! Talk to a mother of an infant who is bottle fed for whatever reason - they go through $#!! just to make sure their baby can eat if they need to travel by plane! Where is the freedom in having your baby's bottle taken away b/c of someone elses' F@#$-UP?! Since 9/11 AMERICANS have LOST a lot of our freedom rights. I commend our troops for a good job when they have no choice in the matter, but I disagree with Bush's tactics. I don't see why so many troops will never come home if all is going so well. I am still giving you a + rating just to let you know, simply b/c you were passionate about your side of the debate. :)

President Bush is a complete dimwit and I agree he should never have ran for president in the first place, and how he managed to tie in a second term, baffles me still, I didn't vote for his first term there was no way I was about for a second. This whole iraqi war is just him trying to fill his daddys shoes, well his dad was no better, Desert Sand Storm should have never happened, This war needs to end, its just Bush trying to prove himself, and he is doing a lousy job of it. He needs to go, before more americans get murdered by the thousand by terrorists. US has no right medalling with other countries, let them sort it out for themselves, they don't want us there. So why waste the time, the money and the man power.

No, terrorists attacked America, not Iraq. There are newborn babies who have done nothing & I for one think it is wrong to teach people, especially children, a certain country is "bad", when it is certain people in that country who have started crap. As for his father period, I don't remember his dad in office. I was born in 85, so I'll not comment on when his dad was in office

Thank you angelpisces & brightbluesea, Clinton was a hippie. He was more about peace, not war & I dought he would have acted so irrashionally. I think he would have waited & thought things through & decided on what would be best for his country, not what would make Daddy notice him.

Everyday that Bush is president, I wish for the good old days when Clinton was there. I did not vote for Bush and have been embarrassed for the past 6 years at how Americans must look if others base their opinions on the leader. This war is harsh on everyone and it needs to end. I don't have the answer as to how, but last time I looked we were supposed to be looking for Bin Laden because of the 9/11 attacks. What happened to that???

Hmm I really dont like this war because I think the most they do is just take Oil from Iraq. They also do help the people but I think that it's better when they leave Iraq because they also have killed alot of innocents.

As an American I can answer from my own personal point of view. I want Bush (along with future presidents) to put America first. We have homeless, disabled, widowed, orphans, and many more in our OWN country who need our help. Yet we are sent to war in other countries, and we adopt orphans from other countries too.

I am an Indian, and I have high respect for Americans. I work in an multi national company for the Americans. But no disrespect, I believe George Bush is a bigger terrorist. Because he kill both his people and the other people. He is a sole responsible person for the entire mess. Remember "WITH GREAT POWER COMES GREAT RESPONSIBILITY".

your war in iraq is consuming billions of dollars out of your nations coffers and there is no near end to it. aside from that thousands of lives specially innocent ones are being killed every day, but it seems that your civilian leadership is stupid enough as not to noticed that your strategy over the said crises is not doing well. might as well be forced your president to resign over this issue or force him to listen to world opinion on how to deal with iraq before it will spread to whole region of middle east. greetings. : )

This war with Iraq ISN'T MY war. My war is with premature births, birth defects, childhood cancers, NEC (a condition that cost my daughter 70% of her small intestine). This is MY war. I'll spend every last penny I have on it too. But I won't spend one red cent on helping Bush with a cause i don't agree with.

Im against the war. But I have many friends and family who are over there. In the letters and phone calls they send me, most of them are saying how glad they are because they are helping. My cousin told me just the other day that there is a school that they have been in for the past week. The children at this school have nothing. He said that their eyes light up when the american soldiers come in. They take books and stuff that have been sent to them to read to the children, food, toys and clothing are passed out. I have also been told that everyone seems to be really happy that they are there. We are helping. None of the good stuff they are doing is being showed on the television. Only the bad things. I dont like bush either and i agree that clinton was a better president. Bush is just finishing what his father started. BUT on the other hand...they did come and bomb our country. So to that I say good for revenge. But I think enough is enough.

Yeah, I still remember the reason for This George Bush sending American toops to Iraq is Iraqes possess massive destructive weapons. It is 5 years past already. George W. Bush has not found anything like that. so what does it mean? it means Geroge W. Bush is totally wrong. He sent his troops to some other country and kill the people and get his people killed, I mean these American soilders. Who is the criminal of the war? it is self proved without saying. Bush should say sorry to Iraqes, he should say sorry to Amerians, he should say sorry to the whole world.

Bush may not be the best president we have ever had, but the other choices were so bad there wasn't much to do. I don't know who will run in 2008 but doesn't look too good for the future. I wish we had never gone t Iraq but now I don't see how we can walk out and not support the Iraqis. I'm afraid is we did leave at this point, another dictator like Hussain would come to power and kill all those that were against the Iraqi government.
