Not everyone has the knowhow of building computers so my question is this, would you prefer to buy or build your own computer. I built all five of my computers in my house which are all high specification computers amounting to the total cost of £2000. so why not post your make of computer along with the approximate price tag and we will do a price comparison on the specifications :)

I have no idea about building computers so get them already made. This current one I am using was bought by our son last year and it is a HP but I have no doubts that it would have cheaper to build it from scratch. :)

I've bought my computer premade. I want to build my next one. Not for the money but to have better quality parts. Am I right to assume that while a premade computer will be cheaper, the componants are of a lesser quality? My computer is an HP Pavilion w/2200+ athlon, 512 ram, 80 gig hdd. Paid about $1100 3 years ago. Force

a premade computer is not cheaper than a home built computer, if you goto www.aria.co.uk and basically build your own computer using the components there, you will find that you can build a decent computer to the cost of£700 and thats with SLI gfx cards:)
