Name brand vs.Generic brands. Which are better??

Well, there are some Generic stuff out there i have found that is better than the name brand stuff my mom is always buying name brand me i do a lil of both . If i can get a generic out there thats cheaper and tastes or works better i go for it. do you know any generic stuff that is better than the name brand?

Certain things I have to have the name brand...but more often it's the generic I buy most..saves money for other things.
