a r rahmans full name was Allah Rakha Rahman. he was born as a.s.dileep kumar on 6th jan 1966. his father k.a.sekahr was an arranger and conducter in malayalam film industry. dileep started learning the piano at he age ofn four itself. at the age of 9 his father passed away and he joins the troop of ilayaraaja at 11. in 1988 his sister fell ill and her condition gets worsened day by day. after that a sufi saint sheik abdul qadir jilaani help her sister to come back 2 life. then the entire family get converted into islam. his ist music composition 4 a film was with his fav. maniratnam 4 the movie roja. that was gigantic hit and since that all mani's movies were composed by rahman till the latest release guru.l
