McDonald's Soda

Is it just me or does the soda from McDonalds take better than other fast food places. Does anybody know why? And why are the straws so big from there.

It is funny that you posted this now because I just got a soda from McDonalds last night and noticed that the straw was really big. I thought to myself it would be nice to be able to buy straws like that for use at home. I make blended margaritas sometimes and those straws would be great!
