Colossus of Rhodes

The Major of Rhodes announced that he intends to rebuild the Colossus of Rhodes, one of the 7 Wonders of the Ancient World.
I remember that long time ago I have even seen an old movie about the Colossus, it was a nice drama about the wars between the Greeks and their enemies.
Colossus could throw fire from his arms to the alien vessels that tried to enter in the harbor and to destroy them.

i only know collosus from the civilization game, and to rebuild collosus with nowdays technology is not that hard as the ancient day does.
But i think that's cool, to rebuild the colossus statue as a landmark in some busy international harbour

Yes, Rhodes is just awesome. I used to live there for some periood and it is just splendid ...
The movie about it was made long time ago and was a drama about the destroying the Collosus after some spies entered the island on a small vessel during the mist.
