Simply RDBMS is a specific type of DBMS. The first R stays for "Relational" that indicates the model on which the DB is based. There are other types of DBMS based on different models, such as hierarchical or object-oriented

dbms-DataBase Management system.RDBMS-Relational database management system.Codd's has laid 12 rules.if any DBMS which satisfies codd's rule then it is called as RDBMS.there is no full rdbms as even oracle satisfies only 11.5 rules.Ms-Access is an exapmle for dbms and oracle,sql are example for rdbms.
