What is turkey?

Ho Ho, I'm sure you're all thinking "Oh no not another one of those stupid 'what is' posts, everyone knows turkey is a big bird that goes gobble gobble and we eat it on Christmas day." Well, I, personally, have changed my mind with regard to the definition of a turkey. After seeing some of the inane posts here on myLot, I've decided that a turkey is a myLot user who: copies and pastes threads as his/her own copies and pastes posts as his/her own responds with yes/no answers to questions like "What is tv" starts a thread using topics like "What is tv" (Surely the answer is limited to one?) continuously posts about money uses capital letters all the time Am I missing anything here? Who else should join the turkey brigade?

YES. HOW DO MAKE MANY MONEYS? Ho Ho, I'm sure you're all thinking "Oh no not another one of those stupid 'what is' posts, everyone knows turkey is a big bird that goes gobble gobble and we eat it on Christmas day." Who else should join the turkey brigade? Why should turkeys be associated with such people? They're really very nice and loveable creatures. And tasty too :\

Sorry to disappoint you but the Turkey is one of the smartest birds. My grandfather used to hunt all the time and he said so. Also, Benjamin Franklyn wanted it to be the United States national bird because they are so smart. I think we should just call them immature dorks. Or how about catfish, they are bottom feeders that mindlessly clean up scraps and waist.

I'm sorry, can you please forgive me? My son had cat scratch fever before, it isn't pretty. Last thing I need is a big purple lump on my body.

Darn it. I had marked Whatshername the best response but if i'd seen that Angrykitty was so offended by the catfish remark I wouldn't have done it......(giggle).....honestly I wouldn't. (Heh heh). I'm sorry to hear about your son and the catscratch fever though. Sounds awful.

Actually cat scratch fever isn't painful at all. It's just an infected lymph gland. What was painful was trying to find out what he had. He got it at the same time AIDS started in the U.S. I didn't have any insurance and kept getting passed from Dr. to Dr. Of course everyone tested it by sticking needles in it first. The last Dr. was older and knew right away what it was and took care of it the next day. He also set me up with a program that paid for the entire operation and said that it would probably have gone away on it's own anyway with no scar. Now he has all these little needle holes in his neck.

To tell you the truth, I have not seen any of them. I stick to my friends postings. They don't do that. They carry on a decent conversation of substance and quality posts.

I think you have lost it with people on here, lol i know what you mean why should people be paid for copy and pasting or answering with a yes and no when the rest of us are here trying our hardest to earn money the honest way. Although mylot will catch these users eventually and we will be the winners. +

One of my new year's resolutions is not to post about turkeys again, until next Christmas. :)

A turkey is one who posts a very long and detailed answer to something that isn't your question. I got a 6 inch, I am serious, homage to The Godfather in my discussion about a different movie, I forget which. Hopefully a turkey doesn't include those who use run-on sentences. I am prone to do that frequently.

Do you mean hot turkey or cold turkey? I hope I don't qualify to join your turkey club but I could give you a long list of names of those who would certainly make the grade. However, seeing as it is the season of goodwill, I will allow them to add their own names to your turkey list of friends.

I think some people use caps because they can see better have met some people in other chats that do that. As for the rest of the junk that happens in mylot I kinda ignore it now because when I joined it was a lot worse and I can see the changes mylot is making and have noticed the stuff they have deleted.

Obviously this is not a discussion just to make money, and is a lot of fun. A discussion is give and take, and some of us can give it, and some of us can take it, and I am glad you are not giving it to me. Happy New Year, happy cheater hunting.

Oh I truly don't want to be classsified with the ones who do that. Put me in a dungeon if I do, please. I have learned from this site and I like to see posts that are meaaningful. I also like the jokes as I know a bunch. I think an apple a day should be changed to a laugh a day keeps the doctor away. But I definitely have my serious, neurotic, witchy side also. Thank yo for this discussion.

Another possible definition would be a big fat bird that gets stuffed full of all kinds of everything edible at Christmas and gets well and truly cooked (hic) over the festive period. Thats me!!

I have to admit to gaining admission to that club myself. However, I hope to forfeit my membership by next summer. :)

A very apt word for these culprits indeed! When I started thinking about the word, turkey, I suddenly thought of a farm yard full of turkeys making that unbearable noise (cluck-cluck-cluck), overwhelming all of the normal sounds, making it dufficult to communicate...and thats indeed what these spammers are doing. Their background clutter is overwhelming the real discussions! Well done, lets fry those turkeys!

A turkey could also be one who thinks this is a dating site. I'll start a discussion that has nothing to do with dating..and I will get a response..you pretty, wanna date? I mean, seriously! You big turkey!!
