In today's soceity it is often looked down upon to "spank" your child as a form of discipline. Everyone now a days are trying to make every parent use the "time out" method. What are your takes on this? Should you spank or not spank? Do you use the time out method? Has time out actually worked for you? What form of discipline did your parents use on you? Should soceity have a say in how we discipline our children?

Spanking is the last thing I do after everything else. It depends on the age. i.e a 9 month old won't understand that if the say touch something the should not repeatedly the time out corner but a firm tap on the nappy they can after a couple of tries. This is my opinion it may differ from others

that is very true. I don't believe a firm tap on the nappy or hand is wrong. When you start leaving mareks then their are issues.
