Is it a talent quest or cash cow? Who are the ultimate winners, I wonder?
1) The 'Idol' who shoots to stardom?
2) The telecom company who laughs all the way to the bank? (what an ingenius business strategy!)
3) The record company who cashes in on the idol's popularity?
4) The tabloid? for splashing sensational news on the contestants?
