Here's the quickie Chocolate Mayonnaise Cake: INGREDIENTS: 1 - 18 ounce chocolate cake mix 3 eggs 1 cup water or milk 1/2 cup mayonnaise (Increase mayonnaise to 1 cup if cake mix has pudding mix in it.) PREPARATION: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.** Combine ingredients with a hand mixer on low. Continue beating on medium speed for 2 minutes. Pour batter into prepared pans. Bake for 30 - 35 minutes. Cool in pans on wire racks for 10 minutes. Remove from pans and cool completely before frosting. ** For 9 x 13 pan - bake for 35 - 40 minutes. Cool completely in pan. ** For Tube pan - bake for 40 - 45 minutes. Cool in pan for 20 minutes. Remove from pan. Ok! Now here's my mother's Made from scratch Chocolate Mayonnaise Cake: Makes: 1 deep 9 x 13 pan or 10 x 14 pan Ingredients: 4 cups (950 ml) flour 2 cups (475 ml) sugar 8 tbsp (125 ml) unsweetened cocoa 4 tsp (20 ml) baking soda 2 cups (475 ml) water 2 cups (475 ml) mayonaise (I use Miracle Whip) 2 tsp (10 ml) vanilla Preparation: Mix all dry ingredients together. Add water, mayonaise and vanilla. Mix on medium or medium high for about two minutes. Pour into greased and floured deep 9 x 13 inch cake pan. Bake 350 degrees (175 C.) F for about one hour or until toothpick inserted into center of cake comes out clean

Anything with chocolates especially cakes, that is one of my comfort foods. Even if I have to skip a meal, I can munch on choco cakes and I'm full..

the best chocolate cake I've ever tasted is the plain one with no decorations at all. What I do is I'll buy them from the bakeshop and I'll do the trimmings and decorating myself. I put mini marshmallows, sometimes nuts and colored miniature candies as toppings. One secret I've known in making a very moist chocolate cake is to mix it up with corn syrup in the batter before baking.

Chocolate for me is a must have. I usually bake my own using cake mix. I only do the hard work on special occassions:-) I think I need a slice now lol

I totaly agree with you! There are plenty of wonderfull cakes, but there is a special one, the one and only our CHOCOLATE CAKE!
