Choosing occupation...what part do your parents play?

So what is the extent to which you allow your parents to control this matter? In my case, I wanna do an MBA but my parents keep insisting I'm a born doctor. Would you obey your parents totally on such an issue?

in choosing an occupation my parents don't have a role in that. i choose what i want to be. so far i dont know yet but i think i want to be a professional body piercer. i always have. my parents hate body piercing so they're against it but as long as i'm making money and making a good life for myself then they dont care. no i wouldn't obey my parents on this issue.
