Anybody live in the Northern Georgia area?

I have a five year plan to relocate to the Blue Ridge Mountain area of Northern Georgia. I live in North East Florida right now. I want to buy a cabin in the woods with a little acrage. I am thinking of around Ellijay or maybe Hiawassee. Anybody live in these parts? What are the winters like? I have always wanted to live in the mountains. I am originally from Arkansas so I am used to the Ozark Mountains but I have always been in love with the Blue Ridge Mountains and Smoky Mountains of the East coast. Tell me about your home.
