How much does it cost for an average 3 bed home in an average( not welthy or poor) area in your country. Here in Irelands capital it costs about €450000.00 for any average house and has become impossible to buy in the nicer areas or to buy anything than an average 3 bed home with small garde. A mortgage on a home of this value costs about €1700.00 per month. I just about earn that a month and am in an average paying job. Is your country better or worse than this.

Where I am the average second hand 3 bedroomed house will cost about 250,000 which isn't too bad because it's a good town for employment at the moment. I don't know how anyone could afford to live in the capital. Besides the price of houses, the cost of socialising is far more expensive than it is here.

I have a friend who lives down there in Annacarthy ( I think) and she loves it. Im going to her wedding next year and might check the place out. I could get a transfer in work to anywhere and have been thinking of heading out of Dublin. Id get a lovley house for what Id get for mine and have loads left over to have fun with. Convincing hubby might be tricky though.

I am the opposite. My hubby would just love to love "down the country" to bring up our child and for our sanity. I am really afraid to though! No friends down there and I have heard that in some places they dont like Dubs as it is felt that they are taking over the place. I live in a tiny house with 2 beds and about 700 sq feet. We have a baby and its really hard to find space for all the equipment, I dread to think what it will be like if we are lucky enough to have a second. I want to build an extension but my husband would prefer to move as we wouldn't have to add to our mortgage. We could just sell up here and buy a bigger house down the country for same money. My friend lives in Germany for some of the year. Over there a really good apartment can be bought for about 100keuro - same size and comparitive location in Ireland would be 500 - 700 plus.

It can be difficult to move into a country area, but I found by joining some of the local clubs/organisations that I got to know people. I've been where I am now for a year and a half and I love it. I'm not a country girl originally.

It really depends on the area here. I have a 4 bed room and it cost 250,000. We got more for our money out here. it would have cost that much for a 3 bedroom in the old area.

I have wanted with interest the rising costs of homes in Ireland. Why is this? Where I live in Texas a fairly nice 3 bedroom home can be bought for perhaps $100,000 in the city and less than that in a small town. We have many poor people who can not pay a large price for a home, perhaps that is why home prices are less over here.

Here I guess its 1.5 million pesos. Our house got 3 bedrooms. Converted to dollars so that would be more or less $30,000 for 150 square meter house. The money that we used for this house is loaned in the bank so its like paying a montly but after that the house is yours.

Depending on where you live here in the U.S. In the Dallas/Fort Worth area of Texas it is about $130,00 for a home like you described. In the Mesa, Arizona area, it's about $170,000 for the same and in San Diego, California, it's about $250,000. It varies a great deal throughout the U.S. Also, in the suburbs of cities, it's cheaper than IN the ciy.

I know here a starter home (detached garage) cost $130,000 dollars a couple of years ago, now you could buy a house like that for aat least $325,000. A house with an attached garage are going for at least $500,000. The market here is just booming! I hope in a few years when I want to buy a new house, the prices come down a little.
