Women Take Off Shirts And Start Wrestling In A Tavern, Owner Fined

Bethalto, IL (AHN) -- A tavern owner in the Metro East community was charged with misdemeanor obscenity and violation of the liqur code after women in a shallow, inflatable children's pool filled with mashed potaoes pulled off their shirts. Rhonda Cato, 48, of Palace Tavern was charged Monday because female participants allegedly pulled up each others' shirts as about 30 to 40 people watched during matches staged while the tavern's doors were locked. According to AP reports, Madison County sheriff's Lt. Brad Wells said, "Basically, the clothing on the female bar patrons was being removed."If the authorities determine that the liqur license code was violated, the tavern could be fined $1,000, lose its liqur license or have it suspended for up to 30 days. Additionally, the women wrestlers could also face criminal charges.
