Wow ten best, huh. That will be tough. 1. Washington D.C.-because of the museums, history, and many many attractions for all ages. 2. Alaska- because of the beautiful scenic views, wildlife, glaciers, and overall ruggedness of the country. 3. Las Vegas- It has grown tremendously over the last ten years. It has also become more family friendly with more activities geared toward children. There is so much to see and do that it is hard to take it all in in a short period. Also, you can tour the old gold mining towns, take helecoptor rides over Lake Mead, tours to Hoover Dam, and numerous other things. 4. Southern Oregon- in the summer time, Southern Oregon offers the US's largest Shakespeare Festival with plays and much more. The mountains are beautiful, it is only a short drive to the coast or to Crater Lake. You can also go rafting down the Rogue River or Salmon fishing. A great place, that I am proud to call home. 5. Williamsburg, Colonial Virginia- offers a wide range of activities to do that place you back in history to the colonial period. 6. New York, NY-Everything a tourist could want is available here. It would be impossible to see and do it all in one trip. 7. San Antonio, TX- You can visit the Alamo, or go across the boarder on a Mexican journey. There is some amazing architecure that can't be seen anywhere else in the US. 8. Key West, FL- A relaxing, invigorating destination full of local flavor. A must see at least once in your lifetime. 9. San Francisco, CA- One can ride the trolley up and down the hilly streets, visit the bay, and shop for hours in this town. If you are into a club/party scene this is the place to be. 10. Seattle, WA- Home of the Space Needle. The trip up is worth the wait in line. Also from Seattle, you can visit the coast or the mountains with little extra travel. It is a spacious, beautiful and friendly city to visit. Ok...I made ten. Whew, that was difficult, lol.
