Celebrating Christmas!

My friend says she doesn't celebrate Christmas for religious reasons. That is fine, I don't judge and why should I. She doesn't celebrate Thanksgiving, Valentines, etc. BUT she celebrates her birthday. She says she doesn't celebrate any of the others because they are lies and again it is a religious thing. If her religion says no to all the holidays, how is it she can argue her side when she celebrates her birthday.

Hi! I guess to me, I see it as two completely different things. Our birthdays are something we don't choose. Everyone has a birthday and most people celebrate birthdays. Some people don't, whatever floats your boat. The decision to celebrate or not celebrate an occasion for religious reasons is a whole separate matter. Birthdays aren't based on religion, but most holidays are. Does that help?
