I would not run for politics either. I am very honest, and would have a bad unhappy feeling making fake promises to get elected.

i am also a honest person.. i dont lie for my own gain. i have lied to protect my friends, but never to save my own skin. and if i am to run, then i am not going to lie to get elected. i will promise only what i know i can do, i may i have to lie to protect some secrets, but as i said, never for my personal gain.
also if you are honest, then you have to go into politics. if everyone who is honest doesnt want to be in politics, then how can a country improve?

i think its the duty of every citizen to serve his country. if everyone who wants to stay clean, whatever the cost, then the only people who would enter politics would be those who enjoy being in the dirt. you cant clean something without getting a bit of dirt on you. if i could make a difference by being in politics then i would love to join it and try to make a change for the better
