War in Iraq

Touchy subject? Although I feel proud to be a free American I find it difficult at times to support people who admire their loved ones who join the military. I feel they are signing their own death warrants and is it truly going to help? We cannot stop all the bad guys in the world. I know I make people mad when I dont stand up and praise people who are in the military. I think they are foolish because they are only playing into the govt's hands. Our govt knew what was going on.Why dont we just send the criminals in the jails over to fight? We would save alot of money and have no need for jails in this country.Am I right to think this way?? Why do we have to send the good people of the world over to die and suffer?? And is it all worth it??

As a military wife, I disagree with what you are saying. You should be proud that you have people who are willing to fight for you country when need be. When my husband joined the army he had no ide he would be fighting in Iraq for a cause he didn't truly believe in but it is just part of it. You don't have to support the war to support your troops. You would change your story if we were fighting for a cause that you believed in.
