What do you think about promise rings?

It's a symbolic gesture. If you plan on being with some one and not date anyone else... then it's good to wear one. It's a bad idea to wear it if you don't truly feel like you wanna be with him/her.

Yes, there should be an actual promise in place, if you choose to wear a promise ring. I think it is a sweet gesture. My boyfriend gave me a ruby ring on our first Valentine's Day together, and I wore it on my wedding ring finger until a replaced it with his engagement ring. Now my wedding band is added to it, too!
