How long did it take you to get over your first love?

it depends on what you think is love, if you are trying to get over this "first love" chances are they aren't a first real love... i've had a lot of "first loves" it took about a year to get over each of them.. the first person i ever THOUGHT i loved was a boy about four years older than i am and he treated me good until we started to get serious, then he just...stopped talking to me...i didn't understand and my lack of understanding made me hang on to the mere thought of him..i beat myself up over it wondering what i did wrong until i finally gave up and completely moved on. you will find someone, dont worry...love will come to you...you actually dont even have to FIND it..that sounds so cliche but it's true. good luck!!!!!

I have never gotten over my first love. But, I guess that's probably a good thing since I did marry her.
