Will robots wear any type of extra covering such as clothes in the future?

I don't think so. When they are designed I doubt they will be anatomically correct so there will be nothing that needs covering.

I think they will wear clothes only if they have an human physical aspect. Japan robots are already wearing clothes...because Japan people are trying to get robots more humans. Even if the more important thing it's giving them more intelligence...and this is really hard to achieve!

if they're like cyborg, with human appearance, i thinke they won't go naked :)

I think they will wear clothes only because far too many people in society would have a fit if they didn't. Even if they weren't anatomically correct there would be some in our society who would find it unacceptable to have them about mixing with society without them. Personally I could care less either way. I'd just like to see it happen in my life time.
