When will I stop craving for a cigarrette?

I have been nicotine free now for little over a months, Stopped smoking 10th of November after 13 years (I am 26) and still to this day I think about cigarettes and i can even wake up in the middle of the night just dying to have one.. How long will this go on - will it be like this forever?any advice or inputs on the subject?

Don't know wat u say . i smoke myself ,but the thought of quitting has never crossed my . all i can say is KEEP TRYING AND ALL THE BEST.

I have actually heard that it does not go away for a while and that is what is scaring me when I stop next year but stay of them don't go back to them as apparently it does go away and well done for stopping I hope I succed next year to

sorry i can't respond to you. still i am smoking. i try to leave this for lot of times. whenever i plan it will raise to too.so drop the plan.

Just keep at it, one day at a time. Remember, giving in to that first craving is what gets you: one puff leads to a pack a day!! The cravings last for a while, but get a lot less intense and easier to deal with as time goes on. Just keep doing what you have been to ward them off. Deep breathing, drink water, delay, distract yourself... It's all mental at this point. After 4 years I still have an occasional craving- but you have to realize that after a period of time the cravings are just crazy thoughts, and you can easily dismiss them.
