I think we should not believe in everything what we read in newspaper, though it is an important source of getting news. Some time newspaper spread rumor, and that is very harmful for the society. Most of the time newspaper support a particular political party and they serve news according to their interest. And sometime some bad people of society can motivate a news paper. It is a good habit to read newspaper regularly. But when question comes to believe in them, don’t believe blindly in everything the newspaper write.

No I do not and nor do I believe everything that I hear on the radio or see on television. Why? Because they exaggerate and create headlines simply to sell whatever it is that they are in the business to sell and we have personal experience of the effect their lack of consideration for people can have on others. Some years ago the brother of a friend of ours did something silly, but not dangerous, and the media blew it all out of proportion. To the extent that the taxi he was in had a convoy of media following and the police had to set up a road block to stop them, so this young man could be taken to Hospital in peace. He was actually a paranoid schitzohprenic and the media aggravated that condition by their invasion of his space and privacy. No, the media do have a lot of answer for as far as I am concerned.

I read the newspaper but only believe about half of what I read. The media is just too bad at exagerating the facts.

No, newspapers only represent their owner's views many times, they tend to ignore some facts or skip some details in their coverage of certain topics, it';s not reliable source all of the time but usually people know who is behind each paper and know what the views they support, I read different newspapers and don't always believe what i read even in my "trusted" source of news.

It depends on the section of the News in a Newspaper. In case of sports everything is going to be True. I agree that there are National and Political Pressure for certain topics which are bound to made little changes in News, but the message will be presumed as it is. I am in a point that news on sports, technology, science, arts are all be accurate in most of the Newspaper

I don't believe everything, as I think that they might tend to exaggerate a bit. But over all, I think it is truthful.

I think you SHOULD believe everything you read in the newspaper UNTIL the newspaper gives you a reason not to. as long as the source remains credible and shows integrity, I don't think you should discredit them. the majority of newspapers are very serious about presenting truthful representations of the news and that shouldn't be spoiled by the fact that there are tabloids out there trying to stir the pot.

I believe many things i read in a paper up to a certain point. Facts and figures are generally okay, but when it comes to anything subjective, I tend to question it.
