ALL'S FAIR IN LOVE AND WAR --People in love and soldiers in wartime are not bound by the rules of fair play. This proverb is frequently used when two people are contending for the love of a third. "The rules of fair play do not apply in love and war I got these interpretations when I search the proverb in Google. Now does the proverb "ALL'S FAIR IN LOVE AND WAR" still hold good. Most people believe that it still is true and u can do what every u want in love and war. Well I have a different take on that. Well the proverb was coated be John Lyly's 'Euphues in 1578. It might have been true in those days. The people’s lives were not that complex in those days. Every thing was much simpler. Today all of us would be better off if v just ignored the proverb. Let’s not analyze the proverb part by . “All is fair in war”, that could be a really dangerous thing. Suppose that if 2 countries r at war and both have promised that they won’t use nuclear weapons and if 1 of those countries decides that since all is fair in love and war v can surprise them by using our nuclear technology. It will lead to a nuclear holocaust. It will lead to a next world war and as u all know our world can’t take one more of those. Another situation is when a cease fire is announced b/w 2 countries or groups and if 1 of them thinks “all is fair in love and war” v can attack them as they r not prepared by 4 a battle. This will also lead to mass killings. The common man will end up suffering. All Indians r very proud of their epics and in those epics war was done in a very ethical way. The fought only on the battle field and there was no war after the sunset. In fact this happened in every war that took place in the olden days. But now if a war is going on u can expect a bomb on your head any second. People do all kinds of unethical stuff in war. I believe the main reason of a war is to show the other country or group or what ever that u r more powerful. Men should behave like men, they should have a spine, they should fight their enemy face to face and do every thing in their power to make sure that they win but at the same time make sure that they won cause they r more powerful in mind or body. U will get more pride and satisfaction in dying in a war than wining a war by some unfair methods Now the other part “All is fair in love”. It’s mentioned above that this phrase is often used when people are contending for the love of a third. What it suggests that u can do what ever u want to get the person whom u love, don’t matter if u r telling the truth or lie. In the end u must get that person. U make up all kind of stories in the process. I am not very found of this notion. If u r a man u must fight 4 your gal as a man. Only present to her truths. Should not praise her or say to her things u don’t mean. Similarly if u know that some 1 else is also after her u must not say ill of that person unless of course he is , u must believe that if she loves u, u will get her, other wise she was never meant to be yours. Always think that let her c every 1 around and if she finds out that u r the special 1 then prefect else tough luck(could be 4 u or 4 her). U must make sure that she feels that u r the 1 and that u have that special thing. I believe that if u love some 1 u must make sure that she is also is in love with u as much as u r with her. U should never be afraid of any competition. It’s better to have competition now and lose her than to lose her after marriage or being very close. It will also help u to be more secure if u eventually be her's. After all the whole point in being in love is to make sure that your happiness is her happiness. So it will be better if she is with the person that makes her happy even if it’s not u.Image According to me v all should ignore this proverb. Whether its war or love, v should be fair. It’s always better to win something with your talents alone rather than by making up some thing or by some unjust or unfair means.If u r at war fight an honorable war, if u r in love get your gal in an honorable way. Make sure that u have certain principles and ethics and u follow them. That differentiate man from beast
