Australian team is no 1 at present. Instances are there, even without their main striking bowlers, they wins the match. Everyday talents are rising in their team. So, Without Mcgrath & Shane Warne, the team will be no.1 with bowler like Watson, Bracken & Simond.

They may not have a McGrath, with the illustrious career that he has had.... but Australia as team management is very well planned on player progression. It should not hurt the team.....

It seems that I have dropped in late for this discussion.............. but anyways I would like to respond, McGrath is one the greatest baller in the history of the game and so is Shane Warne, but i personally feel that their retirement would not affect the standard of the Australian team. Their system is very well planned and the replacements are teriffic. But I strongly feel that the Australian team will have a downfall. This is not because of good players retiring, but only because the law of nature has to be followed. the law of nature states that "Whatever has a beginning has an end";example- collapse of the might West Indes team after the 1983 worldcup, collapse of the mammoth Indian hockey team in the mid 80's. Similarly, the glorious era of the Australian team will end, the only question is when and by whom?????
