Carrie Underwood's recent new single, "Before He Cheats" has come under question lately. She has entered the country music scene with a wholesome image and a first hit titled "Jesus Take The Wheel". Do you think her new single will raise some eyebrows? And if so, why?

your right, too many people read into music way too much.

That is true but music has a big impact on the youth of today.

I actually just love the song. It hits home for me because I know of a close friend who went through the same situation almost. At the same time, the song is still country and it tells a "love" story and it gives her a bit of diversity so she's not "typecasted" as the wholesome sweet-as-pie country girl. I say go for it.

I think I like this song the most out of all her songs. This made me realise that she was going to go very far. How many number one hits is she going to have of this album?!? It is just truely amazing and I am so happy for her. I can't wait for her to come out with a second album and I think it would be awesome to see her in concert too!

I actually think that it will gain her a wider fan base, and that it will show that she has even more range than slow ballads. It is great to put out a song like this, because it not only sends a message, but can be fun at the same time. I mean who hasn't had some of the same ideas she had in this video? :)

I haven't heard a song that she has sung yet that wasn't good! She has some major talent!

I don't think this song will hurt her image at all. In fact, I think it will enhance her career and enable her to do edgy songs as well as the ballard standards. I have her album and she has such a range of sounds on that CD - it's wonderful.

no, I don't think it will. I don't think most people I talk to expect her to be religious, etc. and bascially what she sings about is "payback". To me I think this will increase her fan base, because I've had friends saying they didn't notice the first song, but since Before He Cheats came on they have taken more interest in her.

I don't think it will hurt her image at all. Sure there will be a few people who will have a problem with it, but aren't there always when someone does something they don't expect? I think it just gives her a wider audience, and there is nothing wrong with that. Both songs that you mentioned are great songs, and they just go to show what a great range she has. She has a lot of talent, and there is nothing wrong with using it.
