Never toss Phoenix out of the pic.Miami still rides alot on O'Neal's health.Dallas has come so far in a few seasons that they are legitamate contenders.There are plenty of dark horses to chose.

Miami is just getting off to a rough start the truth be told you are right there are alot of dark horses to choose.
Look at Utah,Washington,Orlando. But sorry I have to disagree. You have to remember Miami has D Wade. Don't count them out, and don't be to sure to count Dallas in. A.I. wants a championship and he is a Denver Nugget now.

Please do not forget that Yao Ming and Tracey are really great players. It could be that the Rockets will come out as winners over both Dallas and Miami.

With the current teams situation, I would agree the Dallas Mavericks may reach the NBA Finals again this 2007, but they should overcome first the two other best teams in the West, the Phoenix Suns or San Antonio Spurs or the emerging Utah Jazz. About the Miami Heats, with Shaq and D-Wade are suffering from injuries and Pat Riley out of the picture, they may won't able to make it to the NBA play-off semis. I bet for the Detroit Pistons, Washington Wizards, or the New Jersey Nets as the East contender. That's a current sure NBA analysis, with respect to nba.com and espn.go.com.

No way. The Miami heat will not win the east title. On their way to the finals last year they were almost beaten by the bulls. Now the bulls have an improved roster and the heat are just too old. If wade gets injured it will be impossible to advance even with O neal healthy. The bulls, pistons and the cavaliers will slug it out for the east title. The mavs, suns, jazz and spurs will contend for the west title. The mavs will win it this time.
