Time-Saving Christmas Shopping

'Tis the season once more but shopping doesn't have to stress you out as much as it did last year. Do your shopping in the a.m., on weekdays. You might have to call in sick once or twice at work to get everything done, but at least you'll have the mall all to yourself. Get everyone gift certificates. Almost everyone wouldn't mind getting a GC-honest. It saves you the hassle of picking presents, and it saves your family and friends the hassle of pretending to like your gift. Let them choose exactly what book, blouse, CD or DVD they want, for a pleasant change. Finish all your shopping in just one place. Choose you favorite mall, block off one entire day and get everything done. Make sure you have a list and a budget before you get started. Once, you're done, try to stay away from the mall till January unless really necessary. Make donations in your loved one's name. Pick a favorite charity, then ask how you can make a donation. Make up colorful "donation certificates" with your friends' names, then tuck in a personal note before sending them out.
