Question about jade?

I bought a jade last week, many people say if you wear the jade long enough (many years), it'll absorb your blood and turns a little red, becomes part of your body....and you can't take it off any more as long as you wear it on, not even bathing....after you die, the jade will keep the memory and scent of its owner......is it true?...Thanks

I think that is just a myth, actually there are lots of myths surrounding this stone, there is one that says that jade can actually help to improve blood circulation, and that jade can ward off evil spirits. Fact or myth?

oh dear,i belive that its just another myth. However i never heard about something like that before. As far as i know, the jade will change it color to darker green if u wear it for a long period of time. The greener the better will be as its a symbol of prosperity an blessing.

No its not ture. There are lots of types of jade and some other unrelated minerals that are commonly called jade in the jewellery trade, and one or two of these do sometimes have small reddish spots. Thats probably where the story comes from, but it is just a rock at the end of the day

I've heard some similar things about jade. Also green jade if you wear it gets darker. New jade is light green and grows darker after many years of wearing it. Either it absorbs oils or blood I'm not sure. Imperial jade is said to e passed down, although I've bought many types of jade from many different areas that look alot different from each other. There are 2 types of jade, nephrite and jadeite, they come in many different colours, red, green, blue, purple, pink, black and white. Check out my discussions and pics of my jade swords, puzzle balls and other items. I have the jade pics on my second jade discussion as it didn't upload to the first one. Have fun with your lucky gemstone. It's my favourite.
