The methods that help me do well on exams are my review habits and note taking skills. While in class, I take good notes; highlighting key points the instructor emphasized on. And ask questions when I am not sure about the content of the lecture. After class, I would do a thorough review on the material covered that day and other days then go over sections in the text. While doing this, I take more notes making it easier for me to understand and retain the information. The next day, and everyday after that...I review the notes I took. I do this for all my classes. When exams time come around, I don't have to worry about studying much or cramming, because I have previously prepared my mind. I do well all the time with this method!!

I tended to do well on exams. My trick was to go back through my notes and write out the important parts. By the time I had done this I had all the concepts back in my head. I also didn't start the night before exams. I taught electronics in a private school for a while and I encouraged my students to try this method and they found it very helpful.

memorize, dont set limitations like "this and that would not be included in the exam". Listen to your professor, take notes.

The one effective and always 100% effective method to get prepared for exams to concentrate in the lectures you have attended. By this way you don't need to make more efforts at the time of exams, you just need to look out for the concepts. This method definitely do the best effect and you can see it on your mark-sheet if you follow.
