What the holidays really mean

I'm sure many people think what the holidays really stand for. For instance we all know that Christmas is the birth of our Lord and saviour, and that the Three Wise Men brought presents. But where does Santa Claus come into this story? Easter is the time we recognize the death and resurrection of our Lord. Where do we get the Easter Bunny, decorating eggas, and candy with this holiday?

To me, the Holidays mean the greastest thing that ever happened to humanity and it is the Birth of the Christ. That's what the Holidays and Xmas is all about, it's not really about presents and Santa Clause.

many Easter traditions come from the ancient Roman festivals of spring that celebrated rebirth of the land and fertility. Rabbits and eggs are closely associated with fertility rites. Decorating eggs goes way back to the ancient Mesopotamia. I think the candy came in because it's yummy.
