What is "Tart Cherry?"

cherries - wonderful fruit and multiple uses, these cherries should be a part of everyones diet.
There are many kinds of cherries and one type is sweet cherries and are the ones most commonly eaten out of hand. Then there are tart cherries that are better for pies and desserts. Also there is a 3rd kind that are dual.
